Mark your calendar for a summer jazz celebration like no other! The San Jose Jazz Summer Fest returns to the city this August for a grand lineup of jazz, blues, salsa, R&B, and world music performances over a hot summer weekend. Look forward to a few days of great music, food, and family activities at jazz fest, one of the biggest jazz celebrations in the Silicon Valley.
The fun takes place in Downtown San Jose across 12 different stages. This year’s event will feature more than 120 performances from local and national musicians and artists. Whether you’re a fan of New Orleans-style boogie woogie or salsa music, get ready to see some of the country’s top talent at this summertime celebration all around the downtown area.
In addition to the music performances, the programming includes a variety of activities around the South First Street arts district, one of the cultural hotspots in San Jose. This year’s event will also feature an outdoor stage on the corner of Post Street and San Pedro Street, and a Boom Box Stage which is a retrofitted truck providing the next generation of ‘mobile’ music. The truck will camp out on South First near the Miami Beach Club before trekking over to the Plaza de Cesar Chavez on the weekend.
