Stayed at the Vagabond Inn - Los Angeles at USC for 3 nights. Flew in from Canada so we could move our daughter into her residence in the USC Village. Literally walked over to USC from the hotel with our loaded suticases in about 10 minutes. The hotel is well situated close USC, the Metro line, the Dash bus line, with restautrants and a CVS within a minute walk. The rooms are dated but comfortable and clean (although the carpets could use replacing). The front desk staff (day and night) were all very helpful and accomodating. Didn't have time to try the pool, but it looked clean and others were using it. Will definately be staying here again.
